My problem is that it enters people into a sort of social contract without their consent. They're going to set up a series of rules based off their own morality, and apply it to everyone who lives here, no matter their background. I believe they can enforce consequences- the cruelty doesn't bother me so much. But it's what they choose to make law that I don't trust, especially since they're self-appointed.
