[The PCD jostles to life as Break runs, blade in hand, turkeys in pursuit. It's all a bit of a blurr. The blood is hard to miss; it's bright red, it isn't clear whether or not it belongs to Break. He leaps, lands with a jostle that sends a burst of audio static, and starts to climb for all he's worth.

Once he makes it up the front of the building, using a quick combination of the rain pipe, a shop sign and a few windowsills, he seems to breathe a bit easier. He looks at the PCD and outright frowns, because of course it's turned on. And just when he was being particularly violent, too.

Damage control time. He smiles at the feed and asks, in an exagerated whisper that doesn't quite take away from the blood splatter across his face;]

Does anyone know if turkeys can fly?

...Generally, no, they can't.

Thank goodness.

[identity profile] iceandivory.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't bet your life that these particular ones don't.

[identity profile] mister-hatter.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps not. I'll try and stay out of sight until I get home.

I think the wild ones can. Not very far though, just to jump on a tree.

What about a rooftop?

[He turns the screen down on the street.]

My guess would be, that if it's over 6 meters above the ground, it's safe.

But I'm no specialist at turkeys.

They're courtesy of the animus, no doubt?

Whose else? The regular turkeys are neither that big, nor dangerous.

[identity profile] mister-hatter.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
All right. I'll make a run for home, as soon as they're out of this street.

Have you heard if they're through the whole city?

[Looking back at the PCD.]

[identity profile] meteo-sniper.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
...I'd say it's very likely. Several people across the city mentioned them on network

[identity profile] mister-hatter.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
How bothersome.

[identity profile] meteo-sniper.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
On the other hand, they make a good food.

If you can kill one and get the carcass inside without being eaten yourself.

No one said it's going to be easy.

Shall we team up?

[identity profile] vedaandme.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
They can. They just don't.

[identity profile] mister-hatter.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Should I be worried?

[identity profile] vedaandme.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I doubt it. They don't fly far or very high. They're rather lazy.

[identity profile] mister-hatter.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
These ones seem more bloodthirsty than lazy.

[identity profile] vedaandme.livejournal.com 2009-11-23 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Then you might have a problem. Creatures here are dangerous, I've heard.

[identity profile] mister-hatter.livejournal.com 2009-11-23 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
I'll stay quiet and make a break for it when I see an opening. If I don't freeze, or get rained off this roof first.

[identity profile] vedaandme.livejournal.com 2009-11-23 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
Good luck, then.

[identity profile] truedeath02.livejournal.com 2009-11-23 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
You alright there?

[identity profile] mister-hatter.livejournal.com 2009-11-23 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you.

Are you holed up somewhere safe?
