[Like so many recently, Break wakes up with a thrashing scream. He falls off the bed and into the view of the PCD, along with a shower of white feathers, wings collapsing down around him awkwardly. He gasps for a few moments, face buried in his hands, and stays like that.
There are some things it hurts just to remember, never mind to experience. Yes, even like that. It's a long moment before he gets control of himself and lifts his head, turning to look groggily at the little device.]

Date: 2010-08-11 06:34 am (UTC)Well I live in Camelot with the castle physician, Gaius, who knew my mum a long time ago - apparently he introduced my parents to each other too. The castle is big and beautiful and it doesn't matter which corridor you go down, you're always likely to find a servant delivering the laundry or sweeping the halls or bringing food to any of the lords or ladies staying in the castle, and they normally won't stop for more than a smile and a 'hullo' but Gwen - the lady Morgana's maidservant - would sit with me during chores and talk, and give me extra flowers from the bouquets she always brought up to Morgana's room each morning.
There's a forest just beyond the castle walls and there's all manner of wild game there to be hunted for castle feasts. Sometimes Arthur decides to keep everyone out overnight and I like to count the stars I can see through the tree branches until I fall asleep by the fire.

Date: 2010-08-11 06:44 am (UTC)I bring him his food and dress him in the morning, and tidy up his room after he leaves and make sure to stoke the fire during the cold seasons. I maintain all of his clothes - mending rips and shining boots, and I assist him in and out of his armor during tournaments. I accompany him on hunting trips and tend to his horse and carry all of the supplies, and I serve him during feasts and make sure that he's not for want of food or wine.
I draw baths for him and empty his chamberpot and take his laundry down to the laundress, mend broken links or dents in his armor and polish his sword.
I also make sure that he doesn't die.
