For the good of the people-- whether they all like it or not. Let's hope whoever you find, or is elected, can remain fair to all should it be gone through with.

I'm hoping they won't make it an elected position, honestly. I'm envisioning a temporary role. One month being trained by the predecessor, one month working alone, one month training the successor, then retirement.

In any way it's done someone will be opposed to the idea for whatever reason they can think of. Humans are hardly impartial things, I'm sure you know.

Then we get someone inhuman.

The humans wouldn't trust them most likely, or be afraid.

Unless it was an inhuman already trusted-- but then again some of those have the same bad habits.

He'd be rather fitting-- and sadly fall into the first two points; no trust and fear. Such a misunderstood one due to so many seeing things as only black and white.

You could say I'm something related to the shinigami who run around here with those swords of theirs, only perhaps not quite. [Picking up the PCD, tapping a nail near one of his eyes.] You can tell what we are by our eyes, and that we tend to wear glasses.

A God of Death, Reaper of Souls. In my world we come to personally collect the souls of those about to die, view their entire life to pass judgement upon where they go. We do so to keep any hungry demons, such as that butler I live with, from snatching them up for a meal. There's also investigation if, at the end of the work day, not all souls are accounted for or too many deaths have occured than scheduled for the day. [It sounds a tad boring. So uniform, but explination is needed. Not all worlds work alike after all.]

I don't work as one anymore. I can no longer read the books that tell how and when someone will die, I can only view their cinimatic records.
