Maybe we should have a farm.

A farm that consists of pigs with wings, fruit cows, rainbow sheep, and omlette laying sparkly chickens?

Per~haps a guardish thing to watch over them all at night.

Who would we rope into it?

I could suggest Miss Rip, but there's no promise she won't get bored and slaughter any of them.

She does mean well, but boredom causes many things.

[Scooping up the PCD as he stands and walks off somewhere-- clearly he's in the house instead of the workshop, flopping himself into an arm chair.]

So we need someone responsible, and easily entertained. Neither of us qualify, obviously.

Someone responsible, or something trained to guard livestock of sorts.

Would there be any around up to such a task?

I'm sure there are.

If I can find an ombudsman, I can find some other sort of altruist.

For the good of the people-- whether they all like it or not. Let's hope whoever you find, or is elected, can remain fair to all should it be gone through with.

I'm hoping they won't make it an elected position, honestly. I'm envisioning a temporary role. One month being trained by the predecessor, one month working alone, one month training the successor, then retirement.

In any way it's done someone will be opposed to the idea for whatever reason they can think of. Humans are hardly impartial things, I'm sure you know.

Then we get someone inhuman.

The humans wouldn't trust them most likely, or be afraid.

Unless it was an inhuman already trusted-- but then again some of those have the same bad habits.

I bet we could coax Lucifer into it. Wouldn't that be a scream?

He'd be rather fitting-- and sadly fall into the first two points; no trust and fear. Such a misunderstood one due to so many seeing things as only black and white.
